Turning off the WiFi on your existing wireless Hub will help improve the performance of your HomePass WiFi network by reducing channel utilization. Turning the old WiFi off will also avoid confusing your devices.
Follow the steps below to disable WiFi on your Virgin Hubs.
Hub 3.0
- Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar and hit enter.
- Enter the password for the Settings page, the default password can be found on the back of your Hub
- Click on the Advanced Settings page navigate to Wireless and then Wireless signal
- Select Disable 2.4GHz and Disable 5GHz
- Click on Apply changes
Super Hub 2 and Super Hub 2ac
- Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar and hit enter.
- Enter the password for the Settings page, the default password can be found on the back of your Hub
- Click on the Wireless Network Settings page navigate to Wireless Band Settings
- Remove the checkmarks under both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wireless Bands
- Click on Save Settings
Super Hub
- Type 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar and hit enter.
- Enter the username and password for the Super Hub Settings, the defaults can be found on the back of your Hub
- Click on the Wireless Network Settings page navigate to Security Setting
- Switch Wireless to Off
- Click on Save Settings
